How to compare creatine cost

Read declared creatine grams per serving and compare packages on a consistent 5 g cost basis.

Read the serving before the tub

Powder weight, scoop size and declared creatine per serving are not always interchangeable. Begin with the creatine grams per labeled serving, and record the ingredient form the label actually names. We display forms rather than assigning them an effectiveness score.

Compare the same amount

Divide a package's quoted price by its number of servings to get cost per serving. Our normalized measure is:

Cost per 5 g creatine = cost per serving × 5 ÷ creatine grams per serving

For an illustrative calculation only, a $25 package with 50 servings costs $0.50 per serving. If the label declares 5 g of creatine per serving, the calculated cost per 5 g is $0.50. These figures do not describe a listed product.

Compare the limits too

Quoted prices may expire, and a cheaper 5 g is not a recommendation or an assessment of quality. Use the creatine overview to check label amounts, ingredient forms, source links and review dates before drawing conclusions. Our methodology explains how missing values are handled.
